UK Fashion App Partners With Uber for 60-Minute Deliveries

Imagine needing ski gear for tomorrow's trip but dreading the trek to buy expensive clothing you'll wear once. By Rotation, one of the UK's largest peer-to-peer fashion rental platforms, just solved that problem.

Starting now through May 31, UK users can rent outfits from neighbors and have them delivered via Uber in 60 minutes or less. The service includes a 10% discount and specifically targets people renting bulky ski gear who want to skip the hassle of pickup and transport.

The timing couldn't be better. Skiing remains hugely popular across Europe, and ski fashion has become a social media trend. But the sport's expensive clothing requirements often force people into rushed, wasteful purchases.

By Rotation founder Eshita Kabra-Davies calls these moments "sartorial panic." One in four rentals on her platform happen within 48 hours of an event. People realize they need something immediately, then rush out to buy fast fashion they'll rarely wear again.

"We wanted to change this behavior by removing the one thing standing in the way: logistics," Kabra-Davies told TechCrunch. The Uber partnership gives users the "speed and convenience of e-commerce" with the sustainability of sharing.

The Ripple Effect

Fashion ranks among the world's most polluting industries, making the circular economy especially important for young people seeking sustainable options. By Rotation has grown that movement significantly since launching in 2019.

The platform now serves over 1 million users, including songwriter Ellie Goulding, and manages more than $100 million in luxury inventory. But the impact goes beyond environmental wins.

One top lender used earnings from renting her wardrobe to fund her IVF journey, which led to successful surrogacy. The platform has become more than a fashion service. It's creating real economic opportunity while reducing waste.

By Rotation has already expanded to New York and plans to launch in the UAE next. The company wants to make renting clothes the default choice everywhere, just like Uber made ride-sharing normal.

The partnership proves that sustainable choices don't have to mean sacrificing convenience anymore.
