UK Gamer Breaks Record with 291 Tomb Raider Games
A lifelong Lara Croft fan just claimed a world record with 291 Tomb Raider games in her collection. What started as childhood nostalgia turned into a record-breaking passion that helps her cope with a chronic illness.
Amy Dyson from the UK officially holds the world's largest collection of Tomb Raider video games, with 291 titles celebrating the franchise's 30th anniversary.
The 26-year-old has been obsessed with the iconic video game heroine since age six. "It was absolutely fascinating that there was a game that had a female protagonist and she was a strong character," Amy told Guinness World Records.
Her collection spans multiple languages and platforms, including Game Boy, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Some games appear dozens of times in different editions and languages from around the world.
The serious collecting started in university when Amy watched a video about someone else's Tomb Raider collection. A friend gave her comics as a birthday gift with one instruction: start your own collection.
From there, it snowballed. Amy now owns games, posters, figurines, and even custom high heels she made herself featuring Lara Croft designs.

Why This Inspires
Amy's collection serves a purpose beyond fandom. She has Functional Neurological Disorder, a debilitating condition causing paralysis, brain fog, ticks, and tremors.
"Tomb Raider always helps me escape," she explained. "Any time I'm having a tick attack or I don't feel well, I'll immediately go back to Tomb Raider because it helps me refresh my brain."
Her dedication earned her recognition from the game developers themselves. Amy beta-tested Shadow of the Tomb Raider and appears in the credits as "Amy D Tomb Raider collector" under the thank you list for official fansites.
She started with around 100 games when she decided to break the previous record of 215. Within months, she surpassed it and keeps adding more.
Through Instagram, Amy found a whole community of collectors just like her. She even helped a previous record holder with their application for the largest video game collection during Tomb Raider's 20th anniversary.
Now she's celebrating the 30th anniversary by claiming her own place in the record books, proving that childhood passions can grow into something truly extraordinary.
