University of Utah Launches One-Stop Wellness Hub
University of Utah students can now access all health and wellness services through a single website that connects them to mental health support, medical care, and basic needs in one place. The new Wellness Hub aims to remove barriers for students who previously had to navigate multiple departments to find help.
Finding the right support on a sprawling college campus just got a whole lot easier for University of Utah students.
The university's Division of Student Affairs launched a new Wellness Hub this month, a centralized website that brings together health services, mental health resources, wellness programs, and support services that were previously scattered across multiple departments. Students can now start their search for help in one convenient location instead of trying to figure out which office handles what.
The timing couldn't be more important. Research shows that wellness directly impacts student achievement and retention, especially as college students juggle academic pressures, financial stress, and personal challenges.
"We play a critical role in fostering health literacy and empowering students with the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions about their well-being," said Dr. Sherrá Watkins, associate vice president for Student Health and Wellness.

The new hub connects students to everything from the Student Health Center and counseling services to the Basic Needs Collective and campus recreation programs. Students can reach out to a Peer Well-being Navigator directly from the site to start their wellness journey, or they can browse resources for physical health, mental health support, crisis assistance, and disability services.
For students who prefer in-person help, a physical Wellness Hub location in the Student Services Building offers counseling, wellness coaching, victim-survivor advocacy, and other face-to-face services.
Why This Inspires
The Wellness Hub reflects a growing understanding that student success starts with taking care of the whole person, not just academic performance. By acknowledging that students shouldn't have to face challenges alone and making it simpler to get help, the university is removing the confusion and stigma that often keeps young people from seeking support.
"The programs and services offered at the Wellness Hub are intended to help students forge their own pathway to academic and personal success while building a foundation for lifelong health and well-being," said Brittany Badger, director for the Center for Campus Wellness.
The hub is available to all University of Utah students right now, offering a clear message that help is just a click away.
