US, Israel, Lebanon Sign Historic Peace Framework Deal

Three nations took a historic step toward Middle East peace on Friday, signing an agreement that could transform one of the region's most volatile borders into a zone of cooperation and safety.

The United States, Israel, and Lebanon put pen to paper on a trilateral framework that outlines how to dismantle Hezbollah's military infrastructure and create lasting security. Israeli Ambassador Yechiel Leiter called the cooperation "historical," noting how close the negotiations came to failure. "Iran and its proxies wanted a trainwreck," he said, but collaborative effort "put the train back on the tracks."
