USA Women's Basketball Extends World Cup Win Streak to 33

Team USA women's basketball reminded the world why they're champions, demolishing Czechia 105-64 to keep alive a winning streak that's lasted nearly two decades.

The Americans improved to 3-0 at the FIBA Women's World Cup in Berlin, extending their tournament winning streak to 33 consecutive games dating back to 2006. The 41-point victory was the perfect answer after head coach Kara Lawson questioned her team's energy following a nail-biting 55-52 win over Italy just one night earlier.

Breanna Stewart led the charge with 19 points, seven rebounds, and six assists in just 17 minutes of play. She wasn't alone in the spotlight. Angel Reese added 13 points, while Napheesa Collier, Jackie Young, Paige Bueckers, and Sonia Citron all reached double digits.

"I wanted to come out and really lead this team in a number of ways," Stewart said. "Italy was a close one, a great test for us, but we wanted to make sure today we really took things into our own hands."

The transformation from Sunday to Monday was remarkable. Against Italy, the Americans shot a dismal 28.6% from the field and made just one of 12 three-point attempts. Against Czechia, they flipped the script with 53% shooting from the field and seven made three-pointers.
