Valley Rotary Clubs Pack 161 Food Boxes for 19 Pantries

When neighbors unite for a shared mission, incredible things happen in just a few hours.

Six Rotary clubs across Connecticut's Valley region are teaming up for a massive food packing event on March 14. From 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., volunteers will gather at Trinity Episcopal Church in Seymour to pack 161 meal boxes destined for 19 food pantries throughout the area.

The effort brings together the rotary clubs of Ansonia-Seymour-Oxford, Derby-Shelton, Naugatuck, Woodbury-Southbury-Middlebury, Waterbury, and District 9780. Each club is contributing members and resources to make the morning count.

Anyone can join the packing effort, whether they're a Rotary member or simply want to help their community. Registration is open online, making it easy for first-time volunteers to participate.

The event takes place at 91 W. Church St. in Seymour. Volunteers will spend the morning assembling boxes filled with nutritious meals that will reach families across the Valley who rely on food pantries for support.
