When players log into Disney Dreamlight Valley starting July 29, they'll find an adorable new friend waiting for them: a virtual grizzly bear cub that comes with a real purpose.

Game developer Gameloft partnered with the Nature Conservancy of Canada to turn in-game purchases into conservation dollars. Every cent of profit from the $8 Grizzly Bear Cub Charity Bundle goes directly to protecting the wild spaces grizzly bears need to survive.

The timing couldn't be more critical. Grizzly bears are losing ground as extreme weather and rapid land development shrink their habitats. These majestic animals need large, connected areas of land to roam, find food, and raise their young.

That's where gamers come in. For eight weeks, players can adopt their own virtual bear cub companion while helping preserve real bear habitats across Canada. The bundle includes the adorable companion plus 800 moonstones, the game's virtual currency.

Gameloft committed to donating at least $70,000 Canadian dollars to the Nature Conservancy of Canada, with no maximum cap. The more players who adopt a cub before the promotion ends September 23, the more land gets protected.
