Welsh Firm Donates £2K to Mental Health From Product Sales

A manufacturing company in Wales is proving that business success and community care can go hand in hand, delivering over £2,000 to a local mental health charity just months after launching a new product line.

Peter Jones and its sister company JC Moulding, based in Brynmawr, pledged last September to donate a portion of every sale from their Delta Range to Mind in Gwent. The range offers lightweight, sustainable carrying solutions for security personnel and emergency responders. True to their word, they've now handed over their first donation of £2,049.60.

"The ethos behind the Delta range is that it should make a difference," said Andrew Griffiths, Head of Business Development at the companies. The team wanted to create products that were both cost-effective and sustainable while supporting their community.

Mind in Gwent serves the communities of Newport, Monmouthshire, Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent, helping people access mental health support close to home. The donation will fund crucial services across the region, reaching people who need support in their own communities.

Mike Walmsley, Head of Income Generation at Mind in Gwent, said his team was "blown away" by the product's success and the donations it generated. The charity had been excited about the partnership since Peter Jones approached them last year with the innovative fundraising idea.

The Ripple Effect

The partnership demonstrates how businesses can weave social responsibility into their core operations rather than treating charity as an afterthought. By linking each sale to a specific donation, the companies created a direct line between commercial success and community health.

The Delta Range itself reflects this commitment to sustainability and wellbeing. When products reach the end of their useful life, materials can be returned to JC Moulding for recycling. The company sees protecting worker safety and supporting mental health as two sides of the same coin.

The business will showcase the Delta Range again at the Emergency Services Show in Birmingham this September, where they originally launched the products in 2025. With sales continuing to grow, Mind in Gwent can expect more donations throughout the year.

This first contribution marks just the beginning of what the companies hope will be a long-term investment in the mental health of their community.
