Wisconsin Students Earn Top Honors This Spring

Students across Wisconsin's small towns are proving that big achievements happen everywhere.

This spring brought a wave of academic recognition to students from Ripon, Green Lake, Markesan, and surrounding communities. At Ripon College, students needed a 3.4 GPA or higher to make the dean's list, and dozens of local students hit that mark.

The celebration extended beyond one campus. Over 1,100 students at Moraine Park Technical College earned dean's list honors by maintaining at least a 3.5 GPA while juggling demanding course loads.

Universities across Wisconsin handed out degrees to area students too. UW-Whitewater graduated more than 1,850 students in ceremonies held at two campuses in May. Local graduates included Ripon's Abigail Radloff, who earned her degree in marketing, and Eldorado's Cole Zickert, who studied communication.

Five students from Ripon and Green Lake completed their bachelor's degrees at UW-La Crosse. Some graduated with honors, including Lillian Schram from Ripon, who earned highest honors in communication studies.

Why This Inspires

These achievements represent more than good grades. They show students balancing work, family, and studies in communities that support their success. Many technical college students are returning to school while working full-time, making their dean's list recognition especially meaningful.
