Wolves Rally From 13 Down in OT for Historic NBA Win

When the Minnesota Timberwolves fell behind by 13 points just two minutes into overtime Wednesday night, fans started heading for the exits. What happened next became the greatest overtime comeback the NBA has ever recorded.

The Timberwolves were already playing shorthanded against the Houston Rockets, missing superstar Anthony Edwards for a fifth straight game. Then the injuries piled up during the game itself.

Jaden McDaniels, who had been lighting up the scoreboard with 25 points, started limping in the fourth quarter and had to sit. Defensive anchor Rudy Gobert fouled out after posting 14 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks. Backup center Naz Reid got ejected in overtime for arguing with an official.

That left Minnesota missing five of their top seven players. The Rockets looked unstoppable, going on a stunning 26-2 run that put them up 108-95 in overtime.
