Women's Golf League Launches With Top Stars in 2026

Women's golf is getting its own tech-powered indoor league, and the sport's biggest names are already signing up to compete.

The Women's Tomorrow's Golf League (WTGL) announced its first five committed players, including England's Charley Hull, current world number one Jeeno Thitikul, and major champions Lydia Ko, Brooke Henderson, and Lexi Thompson. They'll compete in fast-paced team matches at a purpose-built indoor venue in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, starting in winter 2026-27.

The league follows the successful launch of the men's TGL in 2025, co-founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. But this isn't just a carbon copy.

The women's version will feature the same innovative elements that made the men's league engaging: players wearing microphones during competition, team-based strategic decisions, and varied match play formats. Every match will showcase not just the athletes' incredible skills but also their personalities in ways traditional golf broadcasts rarely capture.

This league represents something bigger than just another tournament on the calendar. For years, women's golf has fought for visibility and equal recognition despite showcasing world-class talent week after week.

LPGA Tour Commissioner Craig Kessler sees WTGL as a breakthrough moment for the sport. The league creates a global stage where fans can connect more deeply with athletes through unprecedented access and modern presentation.

The timing couldn't be better. Thitikul just won the 2025 Rolex Player of the Year award after claiming the world number one ranking. Hull and Thompson bring proven team chemistry from multiple Solheim Cup victories, while Ko and Henderson each have multiple major championships between them.

Mike McCarley, CEO of TMRW Sports, emphasized that these first five players represent the global nature of the opportunity ahead. More player announcements and team names will roll out in the coming months as the league builds toward its inaugural season.
