Wyoming Hospital Offers $9K in Healthcare Scholarships

Getting into college is exciting, but paying for it can feel overwhelming. Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County just made that journey a little easier for three graduating seniors who dream of healthcare careers.

The hospital announced three $3,000 scholarships available to local students planning to study medicine, nursing, or other healthcare fields. The deadline to apply is March 27, giving seniors just over two months to submit their applications.

Two scholarships target students from different parts of Sweetwater County. One goes to a graduating senior from School District No. 1, and another supports a student from School District No. 2. The hospital's medical staff contributes $1,500 toward each scholarship, and the hospital matches that amount.

The third scholarship comes from the hospital's Marketing Department on behalf of all Memorial Hospital employees. This $3,000 award specifically supports a Rock Springs High School Health Academy student who's already getting hands-on healthcare training.
