Yorkshire Homebuilder Gives £500 to Young Cancer Patients

The charity, formerly known as The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust, supports young people aged 13 to 24 who are battling cancer. Their services include counseling, therapy, and practical emotional support designed specifically for this age group.

Redrow, a homebuilder currently constructing 222 homes at its Meadow Vale development between Huddersfield and Brighouse, made the contribution. The company is building the development off Bradford Road, surrounded by open space and woodlands.

Helen Mervill from Project Youth Cancer expressed gratitude for the support. "Our counselling and therapy services provide practical emotional support at an incredibly difficult time," she said.

The donation ensures these free, age-appropriate services remain available when young cancer patients need them most. Every pound goes toward helping teens and young adults navigate one of life's toughest challenges with proper support.
