Zamfara Gives Universities Vehicles to Boost Education

Governor Dauda Lawal just handed over brand new vehicles to nine education institutions across Zamfara State, Nigeria, giving them the wheels they need to strengthen student services and administrative work. The Friday ceremony at the Government House in Gusau marked a practical investment in making higher education more accessible and efficient.

Federal University Gusau, Zamfara State University, and Abdu Gusau Polytechnic were among the institutions that received vehicles. The College of Nursing and Midwifery, Teachers Service Board, and Senior Secondary School Board also got new transportation to support their missions.

The vehicles aren't just about getting from point A to point B. They'll help schools conduct accreditation visits, supervise programs across campuses, and respond quickly to administrative needs that used to take days because of transportation delays.

Governor Lawal made clear these aren't perks for administrators. The vehicles belong to the state and must serve institutional purposes only, with heads of institutions held accountable for proper use and maintenance.
