Analog Devices Backs Boston Robotics Startups Again

Building a robotics company means wrestling with expensive hardware problems that can drain your budget and timeline. Now one of the world's leading tech companies is stepping back up to help startups clear those hurdles faster.

Analog Devices Inc., a Massachusetts company with over $11 billion in annual revenue, has renewed its commitment as a strategic sponsor of MassRobotics. The Boston-based accelerator has launched dozens of robotics companies and helps international firms break into the U.S. market.

The partnership gives startups something money can't easily buy: direct access to advanced sensor technology, power management systems, and seasoned engineers who've solved similar problems before. Joyce Sidopoulos, who co-founded MassRobotics, calls the technical mentorship invaluable for founders trying to turn prototypes into commercial products.

At the heart of this collaboration is Analog Garage, the company's internal venture group that combines seed funding with hands-on engineering support. Startups working with MassRobotics can now tap into solutions for complex hardware bottlenecks that might otherwise take months or years to crack on their own.

Analog Devices plans to show up where it counts in the coming months. The company will judge pitches at the MassRobotics Startup PitchFest in September and participate in the Robotics Startup Bootcamp at RoboBusiness in October. Colm Prendergast, who leads the Emerging Tech Hub at Analog Garage, will share insights on how startups and corporations can work together from early concepts through full commercialization.

The workshops aim to help founders scale their technical visions faster by learning from engineers who understand the challenges of building physical systems. Registration is open for founders interested in these sessions.
