Idaho Team Sets Disc Golf Record in 44.31 Seconds

After 60 tries and one grueling uphill dash, a team of four disc golfers in Idaho just set a world record that proves patience and teamwork can accomplish anything.

David Rush, a serial record-breaker with over 200 Guinness World Records titles, teamed up with his friend Travis Davidson and Travis's sons, Anders and Oliver, to tackle the fastest hole of disc golf by a four-person team. Their mission started at Mallard Park with a PDGA-certified hole stretching at least 200 meters, the minimum distance required by Guinness World Records.

The September morning didn't start smoothly. Dozens of attempts fell short as the team worked to sync their throws and sprints perfectly.

But on attempt number 60, everything clicked. Rush sent a strong drive down the fairway, Travis followed with precision, and Oliver kept the disc moving forward with steady momentum.

Then came the pressure moment. Anders stepped up and threw the disc close to the target, setting up Rush for the final sprint.

"At that point, it was all hustle," Rush explained. He had to race 41 seconds uphill, grab the disc, and lock it into the basket while the clock ticked.

The team crossed the finish line at 44.31 seconds, officially claiming the world record.
