Serbia Pushes Regional Cooperation at Antalya Forum

Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric brought a message of hope to the Antalya Diplomatic Forum this week, framing the Balkans as a region of opportunity rather than conflict.

Djuric acknowledged the challenges ahead, including inherited political tensions and complex interethnic relations. But he stressed there's no alternative to cooperation if the Balkans want to thrive.

Serbia's diplomatic push extends far beyond regional borders. Djuric scheduled meetings with representatives from Libya, Kyrgyzstan, and multiple African nations during the forum.

Perhaps most significantly, he's meeting with Albania's new foreign minister to "build new bridges." This outreach between historical rivals signals a genuine shift in regional dynamics.

Turkey's President Erdoğan plans to visit Serbia in coming months to cement economic partnerships. These high-level exchanges are producing concrete benefits for both societies.

Djuric emphasized that Serbia's approach rests on respecting international law and the UN Charter, particularly regarding territorial integrity. By championing these principles, Serbia is building a coalition of like-minded countries.
