5 States Team Up for 800 Megawatt Wind Energy Project

After more than a decade of attempts, New England is finally moving forward with one of its most ambitious clean energy projects yet.

Maine's Public Utilities Commission has chosen developers to build 800 megawatts of wind energy in Northern Maine and a transmission line capable of carrying 1,200 megawatts of power south. That's enough electricity to power hundreds of thousands of homes with clean, renewable energy.
