6-Year-Old Cancer Survivor Honored for Saving Other Lives

When Piper was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma at just 16 months old, doctors told her family to prepare for the worst. Traditional cancer treatments weren't working, and time was running out.

Her mother, Rhonda Diamond, made a brave decision. She enrolled Piper in a clinical trial for an experimental drug called DFMO, hoping that even if it didn't save her daughter, it might help other children someday.
