Air Hostess Trainee Becomes Himachal's First Woman Trucker

Neha Thakur spent her childhood riding shotgun in her father's truck, getting dropped at school in a 16-tonne vehicle while other kids arrived in cars. That early fascination would change her life twice.

The 25-year-old from Khudla village in Mandi district initially chose a conventional path. After graduating, she moved to Chandigarh for air hostess training and found work in aviation, putting trucks firmly in her rearview mirror.
