Arkansas Museum Gets $3M Gift to Expand Kids' Learning

The Scott Family Amazeum in Bentonville, Arkansas just landed a game-changing donation that will help thousands of children learn through play.

The Willard & Pat Walker Charitable Foundation donated $3 million to support the museum's ambitious expansion project. The gift brings the Amazeum closer to its $25 million fundraising goal for three brand new learning areas.

Construction crews broke ground on the expansion in June 2025, with all new spaces scheduled to open by late 2026. The project includes an Early Learning Advancement Center designed specifically for young children, plus The Hangout & Porch and The Backyard for older kids to explore.

The Early Learning Advancement Center addresses a critical need in the region. High-quality early childhood education programs give kids a strong foundation for lifelong learning, and this dedicated space will serve families throughout Northwest Arkansas.
