Australian Woman Births Twins from Two Different Families

A Queensland woman became pregnant with her own child while serving as a surrogate, resulting in the birth of twins who belong to two different families.

The 27-year-old mother of five was undergoing fertility treatment to carry an embryo for a couple she met through social media. Scans revealed she was carrying twins: a girl who was genetically the intended parents' child, and a boy who was biologically hers.
