Bangkok Expo Unites 300 Tech Firms Across ASEAN

Bangkok just became the meeting point for scientists, innovators, and business leaders working to solve some of Asia's biggest health and technology challenges.

Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL 2026 joined forces with Bio+ HealthTech and FutureCHEM at Bangkok's International Trade & Exhibition Centre this September. The combined event brought over 300 exhibitors from 15 countries together with 13,000 visitors across three days.

The vision goes beyond a typical trade show. Organizers designed the event to create an "ASEAN Scientific Innovation Ecosystem" where laboratory equipment makers, biotech researchers, health technology developers, and chemical industry experts can collaborate instead of working in silos.

Thailand's laboratory equipment market tells the story of why this matters. Valued at $456 million in 2024, the sector is growing 6.7% annually as demand surges for better testing standards, pharmaceutical development, and food safety technology.

The event featured interactive experiences that made advanced science accessible. Immersive LAB created simulated laboratory environments where visitors could test new technologies hands-on, while an online business matching platform connected startups with potential investors and buyers.

Pavilions from China, India, and Taiwan showcased innovations alongside 125 experts from 10 countries who led workshops covering everything from lifestyle medicine to healthcare in the metaverse. A Future Food Innovation Junior Competition invited young scientists to present solutions for sustainable food systems.

Wattana Phasook from Thailand's Science and Technology Trade Association emphasized that expanding research, biotechnology investment, and higher testing standards across industries are fueling this growth. The convergence of these three exhibitions reflects how innovation increasingly happens at the intersection of different fields.
