Blind Cat Shigure Seeks Home After Owner's Death

Meet Shigure, a two-year-old cat who proves that losing your sight doesn't mean losing your zest for life. This bold, playful boy arrived at Animal Refuge Kansai (ARK) in Tokyo after his owner passed away, along with two other visually impaired cats who shared his home.

Despite his poor vision and slightly unusual appearance, Shigure attacks life with the enthusiasm of a kitten. He treats everything that moves as a potential toy, pouncing on objects (and even his food) with fearless confidence.

His love of play has helped him bulk up to an impressive 5 kilograms. Staff at ARK describe him as extremely funny and friendly, an adventurer who refuses to let his disability define him.

Shigure arrived with Kosame and Ajisai, believed to be his sibling. All three cats are visually impaired, but none of them seem to know it.

ARK is hoping the right person will look past Shigure's appearance and fall in love with his brave, curious personality. The organization is searching for someone who can appreciate a cat brimming with confidence and character.
