Canadian Comedian Sends Wellness Check to Americans

When your neighbor knocks on your door to check if you're okay, sometimes that simple gesture means everything.

Canadian comedian Simon King recently posted "A Message from Canada" that's touching hearts across America. In the video, he reaches out with a message many Americans desperately needed to hear: Canadians know the current tensions don't represent all of us.

"We're fully aware that it's not all of you," King says warmly. "I don't want you to think that every Canadian's walking around thinking every American is somehow out to get us."

He points out that only about a third of Americans seem comfortable with how the U.S. government has handled relations with Canada lately. That means those folks are significantly outnumbered by Americans who are mortified by the situation.

"So we were all kind of wondering, just us and mostly the rest of the world, if you could kind of maybe do something about it, you know?" King continues. "Trade war and tariff war and stuff, we're going to be fine. Canada will motor along. We're just genuinely worried about you."

His video feels less like political commentary and more like a friend checking in after a rough patch. King frames it exactly that way, calling it "a bit of a wellness check."

"We'd like to come back down there, and we'd like you to come back up here, and we'd like to be friends again," King says. "So we're just wondering if you guys could maybe deal with this."
