Charlotte Tilbury Named Global Ambassador for King's Trust

A celebrity makeup artist turned beauty empire founder is using her success to open doors for the next generation of young entrepreneurs around the world.

Charlotte Tilbury, who built her cosmetics brand into a global phenomenon after two decades working with celebrities, has been named a global ambassador for The King's Trust. The appointment comes as the youth charity marks its 50th anniversary of helping young people transform their lives.

Tilbury has supported the King's charity for five years, previously serving as ambassador for enterprise in the UK. Now she's expanding her impact to help young people in all 20 countries where the Trust operates.

"I have had the immense privilege of working with The King's Trust for the past five years," Tilbury said. "It's an honor to build on my role by becoming a global ambassador at such a pivotal moment in the Trust's history."

The 53-year-old entrepreneur launched her beauty brand in 2013 after more than 20 years behind the scenes as a makeup artist. Her journey from artist to business owner gives her unique insight into what young entrepreneurs need to succeed.

Founded by King Charles in 1976, The King's Trust helps young people aged 11 to 30 from disadvantaged communities access education, jobs, and business opportunities. The organization has spent half a century proving that with the right support, young people can build remarkable futures.

Tilbury's new role shows how successful entrepreneurs can pay it forward in powerful ways. She'll co-chair The King's Trust Global Gala in New York this Wednesday, helping raise crucial funds while promoting what she calls "the invaluable work" happening worldwide.

"Through my new role, I will support the Trust in championing talent and nurturing entrepreneurship on a global scale," she explained. "Together, we want to show young people that their futures are worth investing in."

Alison Brittain, chairwoman of The King's Trust Group, praised the appointment. "Her entrepreneurial spirit, global influence and unwavering belief in young people make her a powerful advocate for our work," Brittain said.

Tilbury joins other notable ambassadors including actor Idris Elba, TV personality Fearne Cotton, and former England football manager Gareth Southgate, all committed to helping young people discover their potential.
