Wang Chunyan, general manager of DEWO, says her factory has run at full capacity since April just keeping up with demand. "The equipment directly underpins planting efficiency," she explains, noting that farmers who once spent weeks planting potatoes now finish in days.
Heilongjiang Huida Technology took innovation even further with aerial spraying drones that cost just $5,926. These workhorses carry 70 kilograms of fertilizer, cover massive farmland in 10 minutes, and recharge to 80% in another 10 minutes. With 300 of the company's 700 employees focused on research, they're constantly improving.

The province has also built 20 unmanned smart farms and deployed China's first AI laser weeding robot, which zaps weeds without chemicals or human labor.
The Ripple Effect
This agricultural revolution isn't staying in China. Huida's drones now operate in 60 countries including Russia, Kazakhstan, Brazil, and Indonesia, bringing smart farming to regions that desperately need higher crop yields.
In Kazakhstan, farmers switched to DEWO's potato planters with built-in fertilizer systems and watched their harvests grow steadily year after year. DEWO's international sales manager He Chunling says the equipment's adaptability makes it work anywhere, from the steppes of Central Asia to the highlands of Peru and fields in Zimbabwe.
Even global giant Case New Holland opened a major plant in Heilongjiang's capital Harbin in 2014, recognizing the province as the heart of agricultural innovation. Governor Liang Huiling announced the next five years will focus on agricultural robots, intelligent equipment, and low-altitude drone technology, pushing automation even further.
