Colombia's Electric Vehicle Sales Soar 252% in One Month

Colombia's electric vehicle market just hit the accelerator, with 5,001 new EVs registered in May 2026 alone. That's a stunning 252% jump from the previous year, proving Colombians are ready to embrace cleaner transportation.

The numbers tell an inspiring story of change. Between January and May 2026, nearly 20,000 electric vehicles joined Colombian roads, more than tripling last year's figures. Combined with hybrid vehicles, the country registered over 55,000 eco-friendly cars in just five months.
