Dad Runs 4:17 Mile Pushing Stroller, Breaks World Record

Stephen Biebelhausen crossed the finish line of Cleveland's Guardian Mile race in just over four minutes, his daughter Blake riding safely in her stroller the entire way.

The former Miami University track star posted a time of 4 minutes and 17 seconds. That's nine seconds faster than the current Guinness World Record for running a mile while pushing a pram, set by Silas Frantz just months ago in June 2025.

Here's the best part: Biebelhausen wasn't even targeting the world record when he signed up for the race across Hope Memorial Bridge. "I truly did not think I was going for the world record," he told Runner's World. "I thought on a good day I could break the course record of 4:44 and get into the 4:30s."

Instead, he demolished both marks by nearly 30 seconds. The achievement now awaits official verification from Guinness World Records.
