Delaware High School Wins Grant for GIS Technology

Sussex Technical High School in Georgetown, Delaware is preparing students for tomorrow's green jobs with technology used by environmental scientists worldwide.

The school recently received an Innovation Grant from the Delaware Department of Education to integrate Geographic Information Systems into its Plant Science and Natural Resource Management Technology program. GIS technology allows users to create detailed digital maps that track everything from crop health to wildlife habitats.
