Delta Event Offers Creatives $400/Month Contracts
Young photographers and videographers in Nigeria's Delta State can now compete for paid contracts worth up to $400 monthly. The initiative connects talented creatives with businesses needing marketing help.
Talented creatives in Delta State finally have a shot at steady income doing what they love.
The Delta Creators and Influencers Hangout is launching a competition where photographers, videographers, and other creative professionals can pitch their skills to local businesses for two-month contracts. Successful candidates will earn between 150,000 and 200,000 naira monthly (roughly $300 to $400 USD).
Organizer Henrietta Enwereaku says the November 5th event at Unity Hall in Asaba is designed to solve a problem many young creatives face. They have the talent but lack access to paying clients, professional networks, and equipment.
Here's how it works: shortlisted applicants present proposals showing how their photography, video production, storytelling, or social media skills can help participating businesses improve their marketing. Companies like Seth and Family Pride will review the pitches and select creatives whose skills match their needs.

Winners will sign formal agreements outlining their pay, duties, deliverables, and contract dates. Organizers will monitor performance throughout the contract period, with possible extensions based on results and mutual agreement.
The Ripple Effect
This competition represents more than just job opportunities for individual creatives. It's addressing a critical gap in Nigeria's growing creative economy where skilled professionals often struggle to connect with businesses that desperately need their services.
The organizers are also collecting donated cameras, laptops, smartphones, and production accessories to support emerging creatives who have the skills but lack equipment. This equipment support could help launch careers that might otherwise never get off the ground.
The first edition happened in January 2025, and this second edition shows the model is sustainable. Registration for the free event is now open.
Young creatives across Delta State now have a real pathway to turn their passion into paid work.
