Dodge County Girls Hockey Reaches 4th Straight Section Final

For the fourth consecutive season, the Dodge County Wildcats are one win away from making it to the state tournament.

The top-seeded team from Kasson, Minnesota, crushed Austin 15-0 in their Section 1A semifinal game this week. The Wildcats poured in 10 goals during the second period alone, showing the kind of offensive firepower that's made them a powerhouse in their section.

Their opponent in Thursday's championship game will be the Albert Lea Tigers, who earned their spot with a 5-1 victory over Simley. As the second seed, Albert Lea is no stranger to big moments either.

This matchup is especially meaningful because it's a rematch of last year's section final. Dodge County won that game 4-2, ultimately earning their trip to the state tournament.
