Downtown Bend Needs You to Hang 100+ Flower Baskets

On Tuesday, June 16th, Downtown Bend is calling for volunteers to hang more than 100 flower baskets throughout the city's heart. The organization needs helping hands for everything from lifting and loading baskets to driving delivery trucks and staging flowers for teams across downtown.

Anyone who can spare a few hours that morning is welcome, whether you stay for 30 minutes or the whole event. The organizers especially need volunteers who can lift 50 pounds and anyone willing to bring a 6-foot ladder or taller.

The work is straightforward but meaningful. Volunteers will hang baskets from street posts, load and unload flowers from trucks, assist with U-Haul deliveries, and help coordinate teams as they spread across downtown. Each basket adds another splash of color to the walkways where thousands of residents and visitors stroll all summer long.
