Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) just set a world record for the most reliable power grid on Earth. Customers experienced an average of only 0.82 minutes (49 seconds) of outages per year, while the system maintained 99.99% reliability.

The secret lies in smart technology that fixes problems before humans even notice them. DEWA's Automatic Smart Grid Restoration System instantly isolates any affected areas and restores power without requiring technicians, keeping the lights on around the clock.

But the good news doesn't stop at electricity. DEWA also achieved the world's lowest transmission and distribution losses at just 2%, meaning almost no energy gets wasted traveling from power plants to homes and businesses.

The achievement stems from Dubai's commitment to executing ambitious plans quickly and precisely. Under the leadership of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the city has adopted a "Dubai-It" philosophy that transforms bold visions into measurable results.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park exemplifies this approach. Already the world's largest single-site solar park, it currently produces 3,860 megawatts of clean energy and will exceed 8,000 megawatts by 2030, surpassing the original 5,000-megawatt target.
