Instead of using traditional two-piece foundations, OranjeWind is using streamlined single-piece monopiles that turbine towers bolt directly onto. Earlier this year, crews already prepared the seabed with a protective rock layer that prevents erosion from ocean currents and waves. Later, the specialized vessel Voltaire will arrive to install the actual wind turbines on top of the foundations.
