E-Bike Company Brings 288 Jobs to Tennessee Town

Nearly 300 families in Algood, Tennessee are about to get a major economic boost as an e-bike company plants roots in their community.

LEV Manufacturing announced it's building its first Tennessee facility in Putnam County, bringing 288 jobs to the Upper Cumberland region. The company specializes in light electric vehicles like e-bikes and is investing $7 million in the new operation.

The 100,000-square-foot production and distribution center will serve as the main hub for assembling Rad Power Bikes, one of the most popular e-bike brands in the country. Located at 2415 Burton Branch Road, the facility will handle everything from assembly to logistics and fulfillment.

Robert Provost, CEO of LEV Manufacturing and Life EV Group, called the facility a major milestone for the company. By bringing manufacturing closer to customers and investing in U.S.-based production, the company is building a foundation for long-term growth and innovation.

The timing couldn't be better for the region. Governor Bill Lee highlighted Tennessee's business-friendly climate as a key reason companies continue choosing the state for expansion.
