Egypt Accelerator Backs 5 Climate Startups with Tech Giant

Five Egyptian climate tech startups are about to get a major boost from one of the world's leading energy management companies.

Schneider Electric and GIZ Egypt just signed a partnership to power up the ClimAccelerator programme, which will support startups developing innovative climate solutions. The initiative combines technical mentorship, specialized training, and milestone based funding to help young companies scale their environmental impact.

The program targets startups working on clean energy and climate tech solutions that align with Egypt Vision 2030. Through the Private Sector Innovation Project, funded by Germany's Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, these entrepreneurs will get hands on guidance from sustainability experts at Schneider Electric.

Asmaa El Shiemy, Sustainability Senior Manager for Africa at Schneider Electric, explained that empowering climate tech startups is essential for building a resilient economy. Her team will provide technical expertise in energy management, automation, and digitalization to help turn promising ideas into real world projects.

The collaboration goes beyond just funding. Startups will receive specialized tools to assess their climate impact, connecting the dots between business growth and environmental benefit. They'll also get access to advanced solutions in energy efficiency and digital transformation.
