Egypt Launches AI Platform Connecting 780 Startups to Funding

Egypt just made it dramatically easier for innovators to turn their big ideas into reality.

On February 12, the country launched Egypt Innovate, a first-of-its-kind national platform that connects startups, investors, universities, and research centers in one digital space. Unveiled during the AI Everything Middle East & Africa exhibition in Cairo, the platform attracted attention from delegations representing over 30 countries.

The numbers tell an impressive story. After its pilot phase, Egypt Innovate now connects 780 entities including startups, investors, incubators, and research centers. More than 81,000 registered users already rely on the platform, which hosts over 3,700 sector-specific resources.

Built by a consortium led by Entlaq, with partners Robusta and Kamelizer, the platform tackles a problem entrepreneurs face everywhere: finding the right funding at the right time. An AI-powered matching system automatically connects startups with suitable investors based on their business models and needs.

Ahmed ElZaher, CEO of ITIDA, explained that Egypt Innovate aligns with the national strategy for building a knowledge-based economy. The platform uses data and advanced technology to create sustainable growth opportunities across the country.

What sets Egypt Innovate apart is its commitment to accessibility. The platform prioritizes Arabic-language content, ensuring founders can access technical and entrepreneurial resources in their native language. This approach broadens participation and strengthens Egypt's position as a regional innovation hub.

The platform offers practical tools that save time and open opportunities. A digital assistant guides users through the ecosystem, while an interactive map helps them discover partners and resources. The learning center provides training, mentorship programs, and entrepreneurial simulations that build real-world skills.

A self-verification system lets organizations update their own information, keeping the database current and reliable. Expert advisors support users throughout their journey, helping them navigate funding options and growth strategies.
