Emory Women's Golf Wins 3rd National Title in 5 Years

The Emory University Eagles women's golf team clinched their second straight NCAA Division III Championship on May 22, cementing their place among the sport's greatest programs. With this victory, they joined Methodist University and Rhodes College as the only three women's golf programs in Division III history to win three or more national titles.

The Eagles didn't just win. They dominated, setting a new NCAA Championship scoring record and breaking their own mark from 2025.

Their team score of 284 on Friday became the lowest single round score ever recorded at the NCAA Championship. Emory finished the tournament at two over par, defeating Carnegie Mellon by seven strokes at Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, California.

Rising junior Zimo Li earned 2026 WGCA Division III Player of the Year honors for her outstanding performance. Li and rising sophomore Amanda Zheng led the charge, each tying for seventh place on the individual leaderboard with scores of 288 over four rounds.
