Ethiopia Gets Global Training Access Through New Partnership

Thousands of Ethiopian professionals just gained access to career-boosting certifications that were previously out of reach.

Blue Ocean Corporation, a London-based training firm with over 30 years of experience, has partnered with WoubGet Holdings to deliver internationally recognized professional courses across Ethiopia. The agreement, signed July 1 in Dubai, makes high-quality training accessible to anyone with an internet connection.

The partnership focuses on Blue Ocean's "Mastering Series," covering in-demand fields like aviation, supply chain management, finance, human resources, leadership, and operational excellence. All courses will be delivered online, meaning professionals in remote areas can upskill without leaving their jobs or communities.

WoubGet Holdings, an Addis Ababa-based logistics company, will serve as Blue Ocean's authorized Global Strategic Learning Partner in Ethiopia. The collaboration comes at a crucial time, as Ethiopia's economy increasingly prioritizes human capital development in key sectors.

"This partnership will empower Ethiopian professionals to earn globally recognized certifications through accessible online learning," said Dawit Woubishet, CEO of WoubGet Holdings. The goal is to enhance competitiveness in international job markets and create new pathways for career advancement.

Sathya Menon, Blue Ocean's Chairman and Managing Director, called the partnership a key step in the company's East Africa expansion strategy. Digital platforms will deliver world-class training directly to learners who need it most.
