Finland Leads Green Tech Mission to Singapore in October

Finland is sending a high-powered business delegation to Singapore this October, bringing cutting-edge solutions for cleaner, smarter cities to one of Asia's most innovative hubs.

The Team Finland network will lead the mission from October 28-30, 2026, timed to coincide with Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH) and Singapore International Energy Week. Finnish Minister of Economic Affairs Sakari Puisto will head the delegation, signaling how seriously both nations are taking the climate crisis.

The focus is refreshingly specific: decarbonizing cities through sustainable buildings, clean energy, energy efficiency, and low-carbon materials. Finnish companies specializing in these technologies will get face time with Singapore's heaviest hitters, including the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Singapore Economic Development Board, A*STAR, National Research Foundation, and the Building and Construction Authority.

Singapore makes perfect sense as a partner. The city-state has committed to ambitious climate targets and is already a testing ground for urban innovation. For Finnish companies, it's also a gateway to the entire Southeast Asian market, one of the world's fastest-growing regions.
