Olusegun Obasanjo's foundation is launching a free medical mission across Lagos from February 27 to March 4. The week-long event will serve communities in Ikorodu and Alimosho, bringing comprehensive healthcare to some of Nigeria's most underserved neighborhoods.

The outreach goes far beyond basic checkups. Patients will receive detailed eye screenings, prescription glasses, and full sponsorship for needed eye surgeries. Hearing specialists will provide ear care services and free hearing aids to those who qualify.

Heart health is also a major focus. The mission includes cardiovascular screenings, blood pressure checks, and preventive counseling, with essential medications distributed at no charge.

Dr. Olalekan Makinde, CEO of the Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation, explained that the initiative reflects the former president's lifelong commitment to serving Nigeria. The foundation specifically designed the program to reach those who face the greatest barriers to medical care.

The outreach welcomes everyone from elderly residents to families with children. People living with untreated vision or hearing problems are especially encouraged to attend, along with anyone concerned about their heart health.
