Friends Surprise Blind Bride with Dream Dress Fitting

Stephanie Feeley thought she was going out for regular shopping with her friends. Instead, Melody Simmons and Brenda King led her into a David's Bridal in Whitehall Township, Pennsylvania, where a team waited to help her find her dream wedding dress.

The surprise was months in the making. As soon as Feeley announced her engagement to Dean, Simmons and King began planning how to give their friend the full bridal experience.

"There were a whole bunch of people waiting for her when she got there," Simmons told local outlet WFMZ. Feeley, who is blind, had never imagined having this traditional wedding moment.

The three women met through Sights for Hope, a nonprofit that empowers people with blindness. Their friendship turned into something deeper when Feeley shared her engagement news.

King immediately knew what needed to happen. "We told her, 'We want you to know we're here for you. We're going to make happen what needs to happen, no matter what,'" she recalled.

At the store, Feeley tried on multiple gowns with help from the David's Bridal staff. She found her perfect match: a dress with a lace bodice and sweetheart neckline that flowed into a silk A-line skirt, topped with a long veil.

"I never imagined this day," Feeley said through tears.
