German YouTuber Wins Third Straight Cheese Rolling Title

Tom Kopke just won his third straight cheese rolling championship by beating the greatest cheese roller of all time at his own game.

The 24-year-old from Munich edged out Chris Anderson, a 38-year-old local who holds 23 championship titles and the Guinness World Record for most wins. Anderson had retired but came back specifically to challenge Kopke after the young YouTuber won the previous two years.

The annual event at Cooper's Hill in Gloucestershire, England, sees competitors chase an 8-pound double Gloucester cheese down a steep 200-yard slope. The hill has a 1:2 gradient, making it one of the steepest cheese chases in the world.
