The festival opened Tuesday at Zen Gardens in Labone with an evening of Highlife, Jama, Traditional and Azonto dances. Organized by Dancetera, the event runs through September 21st across multiple venues throughout the city.
Each night offers something different for dance lovers. Wednesday features Akwaba Night at Coconut Grove Regency Hotel, followed by a late-night after-party. Thursday brings Salsa Rave at African Regent Hotel, while Friday highlights Kizomba dancing at Accra City Hotel.
The Grand Finale on Saturday at Alliance Française starts at 9am and runs into the night. Dancers will showcase performances, compete in battles, attend workshops and seminars, then celebrate together through social dancing.
Sunday moves the party to Rehab Beach Club for an Afro Latin Rave featuring Salsa, Kizomba, Bachata and Afro styles. The week wraps up Monday morning with aerobics and celebrity sports games including football, basketball and table tennis at Aviation Social Centre.

The festival has been building community for over a decade since its launch in 2015. Organizer Robert Klah created it to celebrate dance while helping practitioners develop sustainable careers in an industry often seen as just a hobby.
