Ghana Foundation Equips Maternity Ward After Mom's Visit

When a DeniiNoi Foundation member gave birth at Taifa Polyclinic two years ago, she noticed something troubling. The maternity ward lacked basic equipment to safely store temperature-sensitive medications that could save mothers and babies.

That single observation turned into action on April 7, 2026, when the foundation delivered air conditioning units, a medical refrigerator, clinical supplies, and financial support to the Accra facility. Founder Nii Noi didn't just write a check—his team visited the polyclinic multiple times to understand exactly what mothers and newborns needed most.

The refrigerator solved a critical problem. Without proper cold storage, medications requiring refrigeration couldn't be kept on-site, delaying treatment and putting patients at risk.

Beyond the big-ticket items, the foundation thought about the small comforts that make a difference. They provided chairs and a kettle for tired mothers, water and snacks for women attending the clinic's Pregnancy School, and play mats plus clothing for the children's ward.

Margaret Akuamoah, Head of Administration at Taifa Polyclinic, called the timing perfect. "This has come at the right time. We appreciate," she said, promising the equipment would serve its intended purpose.

The Ripple Effect

This donation does more than upgrade one facility. The Pregnancy School program, now better supported, educates expectant mothers on prenatal care, potentially improving health outcomes for entire families.

The foundation's approach—observing needs firsthand, listening to healthcare workers, and following through—creates a model other organizations can replicate. Financial assistance for patient hospital bills means some families won't face impossible choices between medical care and other necessities.

Akuamoah revealed the polyclinic's next critical need: an incubator for their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. For premature babies fighting for their first breaths, that single piece of equipment can mean the difference between life and death.

The DeniiNoi Foundation committed to continued support, with Nii Noi thanking the sponsors who made the donation possible. He described serving humanity as "a divine calling," not just charitable work.

The foundation's members toured the children's ward, including the spot where the future incubator will stand—a promise of more help to come.
