Ghana Philanthropist Builds School for 2,000 Students

When Alhaji Hussein Yushaw makes a promise to a community, he delivers big.

The philanthropist, known locally as Alhaji FuZak, just donated a Da'wah bus to the Ambariya Sunni Community in Tamale, Ghana to support their religious outreach and teaching across the Northern Region. His personal assistant presented the vehicle on his behalf, fulfilling an earlier commitment to help the community spread Islamic teachings.

But the bus is just the latest gift in an extraordinary month of giving. One week earlier, Alhaji FuZak handed over a two-story school building with 15 classrooms and offices to the Ambariya community. The new facility can accommodate more than 2,000 students.

He also provided two mechanized water wells to solve ongoing water shortages affecting both the school and surrounding neighborhoods. Construction is currently underway on a modern Information and Communication Technology center designed to bring digital learning opportunities to the area.

The CEO of FUZAK Constructions has built his reputation on supporting youth development and community initiatives throughout Northern Ghana. His assistant, Alhaji Mohammed Tahiru, emphasized that these contributions stem purely from a desire to serve humanity, not political ambition.

The Ripple Effect

Tahiru urged other philanthropists to follow Alhaji FuZak's example by investing in educational development across Northern Ghana and beyond. The region has historically faced challenges accessing quality education infrastructure.

Community leader Shaikh Doctuuru Mohammed Awal thanked the philanthropist for his sustained support. He noted that the combined gifts of transportation, classrooms, water access, and technology are creating new opportunities for young people while strengthening the community's ability to share their faith and values.

The Ambariya Sunni Community has long focused on teaching Islamic values to younger generations while contributing to formal education in the region. Now they have the infrastructure to expand that mission significantly.
