Ghana Receives 100 New Buses to Ease Commuter Crowding

The government confirmed that 100 new 29-seater buses have landed in the country, marking the beginning of a major expansion to ease daily travel struggles. The new fleet represents one-third of a 300-bus procurement plan designed to strengthen public transport nationwide. Each vehicle adds much-needed seats during peak hours when commuters often face the toughest conditions.

The rollout follows a staggered timeline that spreads the benefits across the year. Another 100 buses will arrive in August, with the final batch touching down in November to complete the fleet.
