Greenvolt Next Doubles Team With 90 Clean Energy Jobs

Greenvolt Next is hiring 90 people over the next year, nearly doubling its workforce as clean energy projects take off across Ireland and Britain.

The Waterford-based renewable energy company will add 50 jobs at its Irish headquarters while creating 40 positions in the UK. The firm currently employs just over 100 people and is also expanding its Waterford office space to accommodate the growth.

Greenvolt Next specializes in making businesses energy independent through solar panels and battery storage systems. The company has already helped major retailers like Lidl, Aldi, and Tesco switch to renewable power, and recently developed the Sanofi Waterford solar farm.

The hiring spree reflects skyrocketing demand for clean energy solutions. New EU sustainability reporting rules now require businesses to track and reduce their environmental impact, pushing companies to invest in solar and battery projects.

The numbers tell an impressive story. In 2025 alone, Greenvolt Next helped its customers avoid 30,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. Over the next three years, the company projects it will prevent 150,000 tonnes of CO2 from entering the atmosphere.

This expansion signals something bigger than one company's success. As businesses across Europe face pressure to clean up their energy use, the renewable sector is becoming a major job creator.

Chief executive Owen Power says the company's growth stems from delivering reliable, cost-effective energy solutions backed by deep expertise. Looking ahead, he sees even greater demand as more organizations realize they need to act on climate goals.

The company plans to tackle more large-scale renewable projects while helping developers and landowners turn their property into clean energy assets. Every new solar farm and battery installation chips away at carbon emissions while proving that sustainability and profitability can work together.
