Idaho Hammock Event Aims to Break World Record in July
Social media influencers are inviting hundreds of people to help break the world record for most people in hammocks at once. The July 18 event promises an unforgettable summer night under the stars.
Imagine breaking a world record while relaxing in a hammock with hundreds of new friends in one of Idaho's most beautiful valleys.
Social media influencers Bryce and Nellie Jurgy are making that dream a reality. On July 18, they're hosting a world record attempt at The Park at Swan Valley for the most people lying in hammocks simultaneously.
The current record stands at 269 people. Grand Trunk, a hammock company, is providing 300 custom hammocks and stands for free use during the event, giving participants everything they need to make history.
Tickets cost $10 and must be purchased in advance. As of last Friday, organizers needed just 80 more participants to secure the record attempt.

"For being part of this record, everyone will get an official documentation that says they're a world record holder," Bryce told local media. Participants should arrive at 3:30 p.m., with the official attempt starting shortly after 4 p.m.
The celebration continues after the record attempt with rock climbing walls, bounce houses, mechanical bull rides, face painting, and carnival games. Food trucks and a live concert by Arbour Season round out the evening's entertainment.
The Ripple Effect
The Jurgys have poured nearly five years into building their campground into a gathering place for the community. This event represents more than just breaking a record; it's about creating connections and memories that last.
Participants can purchase their event hammock for $25 and the stand for $125, both over 50% off retail price. The proceeds help support the continued development of the park.
Whether families, couples on date night, or groups of friends, everyone leaves with the same story: the summer night they became world record holders together in Swan Valley.
